About Sober Sips Society

Based in Raynham, Massachusetts, owner & operator Jess leads a vibrant life filled with family, creativity, and a love for the outdoors. Alongside her husband, Russ, and their three children—Jess finds joy in crafting, painting, and sporting events. Their loyal yellow lab, Remi, adds an extra layer of warmth to their home.

In early 2024, the Berry family's journey took a significant turn when Russ was involved in an active police shooting. This traumatic event was just one of many that Russ had faced throughout his twenty-year policing career, leaving a profound impact on his mental health and well-being. Recognizing the need for change, Russ made the courageous decision to embrace sobriety and prioritize his mental health and family life.

During a recent visit to a friend in Tennessee, Russ discovered a non-alcoholic beverage shop that sparked his interest. He shared his experience with Jess, highlighting the variety of options available for those seeking a healthier lifestyle without sacrificing social enjoyment. This visit not only introduced Russ to new alternatives but also ignited a conversation about the importance of community support and the role of mindful choices in their family's journey toward healing.

In the wake of her husband's transformative journey toward sobriety, Jess recognized a growing need in their community of Raynham, MA—a local non-alcoholic bottle shop. Inspired by the strength of her husband and the variety of non-alcoholic options he discovered, Jess saw an opportunity to create a welcoming platform for individuals and families seeking healthier lifestyle choices without the pressure of alcohol.

Understanding that many people share similar experiences and challenges, Jess envisioned a bottle shop that would not only offer a diverse selection of non-alcoholic beverages but also serve as a community hub. Jess’s future goal is to provide a supportive environment where people can gather, share stories, and explore alternatives to traditional alcoholic drinks.

Thank you for supporting our new journey and cheers to a happier, healthier lifestyle!
